Breakfast might be an everyday ritual, but in commercial food photography it offers plenty of room to play. Cereal, milk, colour and movement can turn something familiar into bold advertising imagery designed to grab attention. This series explores breakfast through graphic compositions, playful concepts and energetic splashes, creating images that feel immediate, colourful and unmistakably food-focused.

Working with brands including Nestlé Shreddies, Nesquik and Cheerios, the photography combines product packaging with the food itself, using pouring milk, suspended objects and tightly controlled studio lighting to bring movement into otherwise simple still-life scenes. The aim is to make the product feel appetising while giving each image enough personality to work across advertising, packaging, social and digital campaigns.

For cereal and breakfast photography, texture and movement are particularly important. Milk gives cereal a sense of freshness and appetite appeal, while splashes, pours and repetition create graphic shapes within the frame. Bright colour palettes and carefully considered props push the images beyond traditional breakfast photography towards a more playful style of food advertising photography.

I'm a London-based commercial food photographer specialising in food, product and still life photography for advertising and creative campaigns. My work combines bold colour, graphic compositions and playful concepts to create distinctive imagery for food and drink brands, agencies and art buyers in the UK and internationally.
